MONDAY EVENING HANDLING CLASSES AND MATCHES
AT WEST PARLEY MEMORIAL HALL, WEST PARLEY

HANDLING CLASSES
Classes are held every MONDAY EVENING, EXCEPT BANK HOLIDAYS and DURING AUGUST.
Classes commence at 8pm, doors open 7.45pm. The charge is £1.50per adult and 50p per child. These evenings are run mainly for the socializing of dogs and puppies for the show ring. If assistance or information is required on anything to do with handling, shows etc. please ask any of the handlers on duty or a committee member who will help with your enquiry.
NOVICE HANDLING CLASSES
Novice Handling class is on the THIRD MONDAY in the month. They are aimed at helping NOVICE HANDLERS, or puppies in training for the show ring.
at 7.30pm. NORMAL HANDLING CLASS WILL NOT START UNTIL THIS CLASS HAS FINISHED AT 8.30pm.
Monthly Matches
A simple knockout dog match is held on the FIRST MONDAY of each month, except August and Bank Holidays ( it will be held on the following Monday). Only members can enter the matches and your entrymust be registered by 8pm or as indicated by the Match Secretary.
ONE PUPPY and ONE ADULT may be entered any one evening PER OWNER.
PLEASE NOTE: TWO PUPPIES and TWO ADULTS can be shown in Joint ownership cases provided ONLY ONE PUPPY and ONE ADULT is shown by one person.
A handler other than the owner can be used as long as that handler is NOT showing in that section (Puppy or Adult).
The entry fee for the Match is £1.50 per dog entered. Rosettes for the winner and runner- up of both the puppy and adult matches is presented. A rosette is also presented for the best of the first round losers in the puppy match.
Points are awarded for each winning round, when 12 points have been won the dog qualifies for the FINALS MATCH in DECEMBER.
CC WINNERS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO ENTER THE MATCHES.
